Mobility Mean Distance Between Failures

Definition: An industry standard that measures the mechanical reliability of the fleet. It measures the average Mobility miles between National Transit Database (NTD) reportable mechanical failures i.e., incidents precluding a Mobility vehicle from completing its trip, or starting its next scheduled trip. Currently, all mechanical breakdowns are counted as failures, thus exceeding the number of failures reported to NTD.

Performance (May 2016 and Fiscal year-to-date):

In May, did not meet the Target; the actual being 11,781 miles. The overall number of breakdowns increased by 29% from 52 in April to 67 in May. The number of Air systems failures decreased from 2 in April to 1 in May, that of Engine system increased to 35 in May from 26 in April, and that of lifts remained the same at 9.

Actions:
