IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications for volunteers are currently being accepted for the following upcoming vacancy on the Elderly and Disabled Access Advisory Committee (EDAAC):

Interested applicants must submit an application to MARTA’s Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (DEO) by April 11, 2008.  Applications may be obtained by clicking on the EDAAC Member Application and EDAAC Resource Member Application.  If applications are needed in alternative formats; please contact MARTA’s ADA Coordinator at 404-848-4037.  Once your application has been received; you should receive a letter of confirmation within five days. If you have not received a letter confirming receipt of your application; please call the ADA Coordinator at 404-848-4037.

All EDAAC members and Resource members must live in the MARTA service area within Fulton and Dekalb Counties. All persons applying for a position as an EDAAC member should have served as a Resource member or have extensive knowledge of the functions of the Elderly and Disabled Access Advisory Committee, or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and/or should have attended 4 out of 6 EDAAC meetings.
Members of EDAAC must meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. 1. Must have a qualified disability as covered under the ADA; or
2. 2. Must be 50 years of age or older and live within Dekalb or Fulton Counties; or
3. 3. A representative from one or more of the following rehabilitation service agencies identified in the positions title denoted above.
