MARTA is proud to partner with Piedmont Park as the official transportation provider for the Green Concert on August 15th featuring the musical genius of Sir Paul McCartney and special guests The Script. To accommodate the Green Concert as well as the convergence of a number of other special events this Saturday, MARTA will have regular rail service available to ensure that customers are able to arrive safely and conveniently to their destinations. Please be aware that rail service will end at 1 a.m.
For only $1.75 each way (and a 50 cent charge for a Breeze ticket), MARTA is by far the easiest, most affordable and environmentally friendly way to travel to the “car-less” event at Piedmont Park as well as the Braves game, Dream game and concert at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood. MARTA will have sufficient staff on hand to assist customers throughout the day.
“MARTA is thrilled to join Piedmont Park in celebrating its 20thanniversary with this exciting concert in support of environmental causes,” said MARTA’s General Manager and CEO Dr. Beverly A. Scott. “Riding transit is by far the single best activity that you can do to help improve the environment. I’d like to thank Piedmont Park and all our customers for being “Environmental Heroes” and contributing to this important effort.”
This environmentally themed concert will continue to raise funds for Piedmont Park’s 53-acre expansion and maintenance, while promoting environmental sustainability.
