Fourth of July Weekend Events

Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo Presented by Publix 
Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C4

Sunday, July 2 – Monday, July 3
10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
 

MARTA will sell Breeze Tickets and Race Bib Fare Stickers at the expo. Avoid lines
at the Breeze Vending Machines by purchasing your tickets or stickers in advance!

$1.00 for the Breeze Ticket or Sticker plus:  
$5.00 for round trip

The expo will be held in Building C4 of the GWCC. Ride MARTA to
the Vine City Station (one stop west of GWCC/CNN Station). Once you have departed the station, head east to the pedestrian bridge over Northside Drive. At the bottom of the east side of the pedestrian bridge, head north, away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, on Northside Drive for approximately ¼ mile to the Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C4.

MARTA will provide additional bus and rail service.

Bus Information

Bus service will begin at 5:00 a.m. and will run on a Saturday schedule. 
Bus Reroutes for Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race
The following routes will be rerouted due to street closures: #5, #12, #14, #27, #36, #37, #39, #40 and #110

Rail Information

MARTA rail service will begin at 4:00 am., see schedules here.
Bus shuttles
 will run between Lindbergh Center Station and Lenox Road @ GA-400 (Buckhead Loop) beginning at 5 a.m. through 7:30 a.m. Board at Morosgo Drive in front of Lindbergh Center Station and ride directly to the start of the race.

Lenox Rail Station.
Lenox Station on the Gold Line is the best way to reach the race start waves. You may transfer to the Gold Line at Lindbergh Center Station, or take the non-stop SHUTTLE BUSES from Lindbergh Center Station to the Lenox Road exit via GA-400.

Buckhead Rail Station
Buckhead Station on the Red Line is open, and riders must exit the station on Peachtree Street. All race participants should ride to Lenox Station on the Gold Line for easier access to the start line.

Atlanta Streetcar will run from 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. 

Parking at MARTA

Free daily parking is available at 23 MARTA rail stations. However, parking is not available at the Lenox Station on July 4. Visit the Parking website on parking availability and fees for detailed information.

Take MARTA after the race!

Travelling South: Exit Piedmont Park near the Park Tavern onto 10th Street and walk south on Monroe Drive to 8th Street. Walk west along 8th Street to MARTA's Midtown Station. Midtown Station is a 15-minute walk from Piedmont Park. Trains will 'Load & Go' every 6 minutes. 

Travelling North: Exit Piedmont Park on the west end via the 12th Street gate at 12th Street & Piedmont Avenue. MARTA shuttle buses will be lined up to take you to Lindbergh Center station. Refreshments and portable restrooms will be available on this side of the park.

Fireworks Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park

Saturday, July 1
Gates open at 5 p.m. Fireworks display begins around 9:30 p.m.

The celebration will take place in Centennial Olympic Park. Ride MARTA to GWCC/CNN Station (one stop west of Five Points Station) or Peachtree Center Station (one stop north of Five Points Station) which is approximately a six-block walk to Centennial Olympic Park. 

Downtown Decatur Pied Piper Parade, Concert & Fireworks

Tuesday, July 4

Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks display begins at approximately 9 p.m.
The celebration takes place at the Decatur Square. Ride the Blue Line to Decatur Station.
The parade line-up begins at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Decatur. The City of Decatur will launch its annual fireworks display on Tuesday, July 4 beginning at dark (approximately 9 p.m.). 

Downtown East Point "Salute to the Red, White and Blue" Hometown Celebration & Fireworks

Tuesday, July 4
Event begins at 4 p.m. Fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m.
The celebration takes place at 2714 East Point Street (across from East Point City Hall). Ride the Gold or Red Line to East Point Station.

Bus Reroutes for Fireworks
The following bus routes will be rerouted due to fireworks:
 Route 26 will be rerouted during the fireworks celebration at Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Routes 15, 19, 36, 123 and 823 will be suspended at Decatur Station from 5:00 p.m. until the end of revenue service on Tuesday, July, 4, 2023.
Please board these routes at East Lake Station.
Routes 81 and 93 will be rerouted between 3 p.m. through 11 p.m. in the City of East Point on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
