MARTA BRINGS BREEZE TO COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT

CLAYTON, DEKALB & FULTON

Pop-up Locations in MARTA Service Areas Make Purchases Convenient for Riders

ATLANTA – Beginning Thursday, June 13, MARTA riders will be able to purchase reduced fare cards and Breeze cards and tickets at pop-up shops located throughout Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton counties. Riders can also complete and submit applications for MARTA Mobility service at the pop-up locations.

Currently, Breeze card purchases can be made online and in RideStores or vending machines located in MARTA stations. The pop-up locations offer a more convenient option for bus-only riders, seniors, the disabled and others who prefer not to wait for delivery of cards purchased online. The community locations also increase options for those eligible for reduced fare cards, as applications are typically only available at two locations.

“We appreciate our customers, and we want to make sure that everyone who wants to use our services – whether it’s bus, train, streetcar or Mobility – can easily make the purchases they need to ride,” said Virgil Fludd, MARTA’s assistant general manager of External Affairs and Communications. “We’ve seen the success of pop-up retail locations across a variety of industries, and we believe that bringing MARTA to the communities we serve is good customer service, and that always makes good business sense.”

For details about dates, locations and bus/rail routes, call 404.848.5000 or log on to www.itsmarta.com/popup. Valid photo identification and proof of eligibility are required to apply for reduced fare cards.
