PLAN YOUR NEXT TRIP TO THE AIRPORT ON MARTA
ATLANTA—As an alternative to the construction
due to begin at Hartsfield–Jackson International
Airport beginning Friday July 16, MARTA General
Manager/CEO Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr. encourages
all airport travelers to take the “train
to the plane.”
MARTA provides direct access to the airport to its
Airport Station, which is the last stop on the South
line. The rail station is located between the north
and south baggage claim areas. “MARTA provides
door to door service to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport,”
said Ford. “This is the fastest, cost effective,
and convenient way to go, all at a one-way fare of $1.75.”
Tokens and TransCards can be bought at any of MARTA’s
RideStores located inside stations at Five Points, Lenox,
Airport, Sandy Springs and North Springs Stations and
at the MARTA Lindbergh Headquarters building. Tokens
can also be purchased from token machines that are located
in all of MARTA’s 38 rail stations or through
retail outlets in the metro Atlanta area.
MARTA’s rail system operates from 5
a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday and from
5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. weekends and holidays.
Long-term parking is available for $6.00 per
day at the College Park, Kensington, Lindbergh
Center and North Springs Stations.
To plan your trip to the airport, please contact MARTA’s
Customer Information Line at 404 848-4711
or visit our web site at www.itsmarta.com.
In addition, MARTA has a TDD Schedule Information telephone
number for the hearing impaired, and the center can
be reached at (404) 848-5665.
When leaving the airport after 9 p.m., please be advised
that all passengers must change trains at Lindbergh
Station to reach Buckhead, Medical Center, Dunwoody,
Sandy Springs, and North Springs stations. In addition,
always confirm the destination of your train by looking
at the train destination sign and listening for train
announcements.
