MARTA NAMES HUDSON DIRECTOR OF LABOR RELATIONS
ATLANTA—Louis D. Hudson, Jr. was recently named
Director of Labor Relations for the Metropolitan Atlanta
Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). Hudson began his new
duties at MARTA July 26.
In his new position, Hudson will be responsible for
the planning, implementation, and administration of
the labor relations program between MARTA management
and approximately 3,100 unionized employees of the Amalgamated
Transit Union –Local 732.
Hudson comes to MARTA with 18 years of labor relations
and negotiations experience. He was previously employed
as the Vice President of Labor Relations at Lucent Technologies
where he served as Chief Labor Negotiator, and at AT&T
as the Labor Relations Director.
Hudson holds a B.A. in Economics from Presbyterian
College in Clinton, S.C. and an M.B.A. from the University
of Georgia. He resides in Atlanta and is married with
two children.
