Transfers Required at Lakewood/Fort McPherson Station

Effective Monday, January 31, transfers will be required for passengers traveling between bus and rail or rail and bus at Lakewood/Fort McPherson Station. In the past, this station was free inter-modal.

Information about using transfers

What is free inter-modal?
Stations that are free inter-modal do not require transfers to/from bus or rail because there are no faregates between the bus loop and the rail station. In a pay inter-modal station you must get a rail-to-bus transfer when entering the faregates at the rail station OR get a bus-to-rail transfer from the operator when boarding the bus.

• North Springs
• Lenox
• Brookhaven
• Chamblee
• Doraville
• Indian Creek
• Kensington
• Avondale (North side)
