MARTA HOLIDAY AIRPORT TRAVEL SCHEDULE

ATLANTA – To accommodate the two busiest travel days of the year, MARTA will run north and southbound rail service from the North Springs Station to the Airport Station on Wednesday November 24, the day before Thanksgiving, and the Sunday after, November 28.

Normally, North Springs passengers have to change trains at Lindbergh Center Station after 9 p.m. This year, service will continue to the Airport Station Wednesday and Sunday night only . In addition, all Doraville trains will continue to the Airport.

Due to the holiday, MARTA has also cancelled all single tracking renovation work this weekend.

Trains will run every 10 minutes on Wednesday and every 15 minutes on Sunday. MARTA also plans to add extra rail cars to accommodate the thousands of holiday travelers. In 2003, 12,570 patrons took MARTA to the Airport on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and 11,180 on the Sunday after.

Long-term secured parking is available at MARTA Lindbergh Center, Doraville, North Springs and College Park Stations for $6 per day, and at Kensington, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Lenox and Brookhaven/Oglethorpe Stations for $3 per day. MARTA is now accepting Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express at all long-term parking facilities. Checks are not accepted for parking.
