What is the salary range for CJIT/Dispatcher, CJIT/Call Taker or CJIT/Records?

  • Dispatcher - $39,399.00-$59.099.00
  • Call-Taker - $36,330.00-$54,494.00
  • Records - $28,512.00 - $42,768.00

Do you wear uniforms?

Yes, uniforms will be issued after completion of your probationary period. What are the hours for the shifts that you work in Police Communications?
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Evening: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Morning: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Note: At times you are required to work mandatory overtime as needed.

What are the hours of operation in the Records Unit?

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Note: Hours are variable and at times you are required to work mandatory overtime as needed and some weekends.

Will a background investigation be conducted?

Yes, a criminal history record check, credit and intelligence check, verification of applicant's credentials, verification of past employment, and verification of three personal references.

What testing is required?

Each applicant is required to take a Customer Service Assessment Test, a polygraph exam, and medical examination to include a drug and alcohol screening.
