Frequencies, Hours, Turnback Operations Modified
Frequency of Service
Frequencies will change on the Red, Gold, Blue, and Green rail lines. During weekday peak hours, all lines will operate slightly less frequently. On weekends, the Blue and Green rail lines will operate slightly less frequently.
Weekdays, trains will operate every 15 minutes on all lines from the start of service until 7:00 PM. After 7:00 PM, trains will operate every 20 minutes on all lines. Weekends, trains will operate every 20 minutes on all lines all day.
Hours of Operation
Hours of operation will remain approximately the same on weekdays. On weekends, service on the Red, Gold, Blue, and Green rail lines will begin approximately one hour later.
Weekdays, trains on all lines will continue to begin service at approximately 4:45 AM. Weekends, trains on all lines will begin service at approximately 6:00 AM. On weekdays and weekends, the last trains will leave end‐of‐ine stations at approximately 1:00 AM.
Turnback Operations
Turnback operations will change on the Red and Green rail lines on weekdays and weekends. These changes will require passengers traveling to destinations on branches of the Red and Green lines to make transfers with the Gold and Blue lines beginning at an earlier time.
Weekdays and weekends after 7:00 PM, Red line trains will travel between the North Springs and Lindbergh Center Stations. Currently, these trains begin to turn back at 9:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 PM on weekends. After 7:00 PM, patrons traveling to or from Buckhead, Medical Center, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, or North Springs Stations will be required to make a transfer with the Gold line at Lindbergh Center Station.
Weekdays and weekends after 7:00 PM, Green line trains will travel between the Bankhead and Vine City Stations. Currently, these trains begin to turn back at 9:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 PM on weekends. After 7:00 PM, patrons traveling to or from Bankhead Station will be required to make a transfer with the Blue line at Vine City or Ashby Stations.
During weekday peak hours only, Green line trains will travel between Bankhead and Edgewood/Candler Park Stations. During weekday off‐peak hours and on weekends before 7:00 PM, Green line trains will travel between the Bankhead and King Memorial stations.
Return to Service Changes home
