The Office of Risk Management is responsible for protecting the Authority’s assets by the identification, analysis, elimination, reduction, assumption, and funding of actual or potential losses.
The Office administers several claims functions under a self-administered plan of self-funded and insured programs. The Office processes, investigates, and adjusts property damage and personal injury claims incidental to MARTA’s bus and rail operations, as well as administers workers’ compensation claims.
The Office is responsible for the Coordinated (Wrap-Up) Construction Insurance Program for all contractors and subcontractors working on capital construction projects. This Program also provides major safety programs for construction projects.
