Customers are Advised to Allow Extra Time for Their Trip
In order to accommodate scheduled track work, MARTA will modify rail service on the Red and Gold Lines on Saturday, January 19th and customers traveling that day are advised to please allow extra time for their trip. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience as we conduct this work to keep our system operating at its highest level.
Please note that to accommodate the Falcons game on Sunday, January 20th, MARTA will operate regular service with extra trains added to take customers quickly to and from the event.
During the track work on Saturday, Red Line trains will only operate between North Springs and Lindbergh; therefore, service between Lindbergh and Airport Stations will be running at a reduced frequency – every 20 minutes. Customers traveling from North Springs will need to transfer to a Gold Line train at Lindbergh Station in order to continue southbound. Customers traveling northbound from the Airport will need board a Gold Line train and transfer to a Red Line train at Lindbergh Station to continue to North Springs Station.
At East Point Station, all trains will board on the northbound platform, and at Buckhead Station all trains will board on the southbound platform until 5 p.m.
MARTA will not do any daytime single-tracking on the Blue Line.
MARTA is conducting regularly scheduled track work as part of its Capital Improvement Program to rebuild and upgrade the rail system to enhance the overall safety and reliability of the service.
