The goal of the MARTA Markets is simple: to help get healthy, fresh food into places where people already live.

The MARTA Market sources locally grown produce from farmers affiliated with Community Farmers Markets and several local food hubs. This allows local farmers to sell more produce to consumers who might not otherwise make it to a farmer's market. Non-local produce complements this produce so that MARTA Market patrons can shop for a large amount of fresh food on their way to or from home.

The markets accept cash, credit, debit, and EBT/SNAP. SNAP is doubled at the market, meaning that $5 swiped is worth $10 to spend.

Additionally, MARTA is redesigning and renovating Five Points into a state-of-the-art transit hub that will improve service for our customers, create a compelling destination for surrounding neighbors and businesses, and serve millions of annual visitors. Due to the transformation, Five Point MARTA Market will be closed during the 2024 regular season.

The good news is that MARTA is pleased to kick-off the 8thyear of the MARTA Market in a few weeks with fresh, locally sourced produce.   The MARTA Market will be open at the following locations: West End, HE Holmes, Bankhead, College Park, Kensington, and Doraville.  Each MARTA Market farm stand will operate one day per week, Tuesday through Friday from 3-6pm, at a different station.
