Mr. Rip Detamore retired from the US Army as a Major General, and has extensive experience at all levels of leadership in Project/Program Design; Information Systems/Technology; Operational and Strategic Planning and Safety Management/Investigation. In addition, he has experience with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supporting disaster response and recovery programs. He holds a B.S. Degree in Education from Auburn University; a M.S. Degree in Systems Management from University of Southern California; and is a graduate of the US Army War College, Carlisle, PA.
Rip has been with MARTA for almost 10 years in various capacities, beginning in Technology as Deputy Y2K Project Manager for the Authority, and subsequently serving in Business Continuity Planning and in the Department of Safety and Quality Assurance. He and his wife, Judy, reside in Peachtree City, and have 3 children; Lani, Radley, and Krisli.
