Robin E. Henry has 10 years of management and leadership experience in Transit Human Resources. She served as the Deputy Director of Human Resources at Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), Maryland Department of Transportation for the past 5 years. She also served as a Human Resources Manager at Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority, (WMATA) 5 years. While at WMATA, she completed the Executive Leadership Development Program. She is a certified Associate Trainer for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Transportation Safety Institute for the Substance Abuse Management Course.
Robin also served as an appointee with the District of Columbia Government, Department of Health as the Deputy Director of the Health Care Safety Net Administration (HCSNA). She was responsible for the leadership and management of ensuring primary health care services to 47,000 citizens with a budget of $120 million dollars. Also with the District Government, she was the Program Manager for Employee Benefits and Substance Abuse Programs for 35,000 employees and retirees.
Robin received her Master’s in Public Health, from the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Public Health, Chicago, IL and her undergraduate degree from Saint Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA. She has completed HR certification in Human Resource Management and is a member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) as well as the Maryland Chapter of Conference of Minority Transit Officials (COMTO).
