Assistant General Manager, Information Technology
Ming Hsi serves as the Assistant General Manager of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. She is responsible for planning, developing and implementing short, and long-range strategies and programs for MARTA’s Department of Technology. In this role, her duties include managing various mission critical systems, technology programs and projects management, financial and resource planning, technology acquisition, quality assurance and Data Center Operations.
Prior to becoming the AGM of Technology, Ming was the director for Technology Program Management, a position she had held since July 2010. She developed and implemented centralized portfolios and other programs that enabled executive visibility and monitoring for all technology-supported projects.
Ming was instrumental in building the Authority’s two most visible websites – itsmarta.com and breezecard.com – and her team developed the first version of the iPhone app for MARTA.
Before joining MARTA in 2002, Ming held various IT-related positions at AT&T, BP Whessoe Coggins Systems, Bass Hotels & Resorts and Hitachi Data Systems. She also worked as a consultant for the Department of Defense and Fulton County Justice Systems.
Ming received her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University in 1993. She has earned certifications as an Oracle database administrator, Project Management Professional and Program Management Professional. In addition, she is a Six Sigma Green Belt and an MBA candidate at Georgia Institute of Technology.
