The Board of Directors is comprised of six committees:

MARTA's Board is comprised of 18 members, from City of Atlanta, Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett and Clayton counties, as well as featuring representatives from the State Properties Commission & Georgia Building Authority, Georgia Regional Transportation Authority, Georgia Department of Revenue and Georgia Department of Transportation.
