MARTA Police
MARTA's Police force was established in 1977 as part of the transit agency's mission to operate a safe system. They have the same training, certification, rights and powers as any Georgia law enforcement officer while on the property under the control of MARTA or in the actual course and scope of the officer's employment. MARTA Police officers constantly patrol the system, both in regular and in random beats. With this type of coverage, a MARTA Police Officer is not far away from any of our patron's needs.
