Mobility Cost per Passenger Trip

Definition: Mobility Cost per Passenger Trip measures the total cost of providing Mobility service per unlinked passenger boarding.

Performance (October 2016):

The Cost per MARTA Mobility Passenger Trip of $44.45 in October exceeded the forecast by $4.23, or 10.5%. This unfavorable variance was due to Mobility ridership falling short of the forecast by 1.5 thousand unlinked passenger trips and net over-runs in budgeted expenses. The 2017 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through October) Cost per Mobility Passenger Trip of $40.09 is lower than the forecast by $0.54, or 1.3%. This favorable variance is due to net under-runs in budgeted expenses.
