MARTA'S Department of Police Services is a unique police agency involved in a specialized type of law enforcement. We are charged with the responsibility of providing a safe environment for the thousands of customers who use our transportation system every day.
MARTA Police Officers have a very high level of contact with the public. We are seeking highly motivated, intelligent men and women who can work well with the public in a dynamic, fast-paced transit environment.
We stress education and training for our officers. We believe in hiring the very best people available and we provide quality training opportunities to assist them in performing their job and learning new skills.
Our motto is Integrity, Accountability and Professionalism. We take pride in the fact that we are a Georgia State Certified agency as well as being one of only four transit agencies (with MARTA being the first in this group to achieve such an honor) that have achieved national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
