You can find MARTA’s Station Music program “Artbound LIVE” Monday through Friday from 3 pm – 6 pm. Look for our musicians in one or more of nine stations: Five Points, West End, Peachtree Center, H.E. Holmes, Kensington, Midtown, Doraville, Dunwoody and North Springs throughout the week. What's New

Artbound and Midtown Alliance have partnered to re-think the plaza at Midtown Station, including fresh public art, new lighting, and innovative seating (hello, astromounds)! An open call for muralists was put out in January, and artist Andrew Catanese was chosen from over 40 submissions. The new murals, greenery, and live music turn the plaza into a little park in the city!

En Route to the Finish Line

Artbound and Wonderroot, with the help of the Blank Foundation and the Transformation Alliance have collaborated on another incredible mural by Fahamu Pecou, with assistant artists Danesha Claxton and Fabian Williams. The People Could Fly, based on a traditional folktale of hope, is a new installation on the outside of Ashby Station facing Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. Wonderroot and MARTA will throw a community block party in March to celebrate the mural’s arrival!

at Decatur Station

If you were on the platform at Decatur Station in December, you might have seen our hearty team of conservators cleaning and re-sealing the wonderful Larry Connatser murals there. At over forty feet high, this wasn’t a one-day job. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we did what we had to do to keep our collection sparkling! If you haven’t seen them lately, go by and have a look, they are really stunning. We have just a bit more work to do on the eastbound side—after cleaning off the residue of time, we noticed a few of the colors needed touching up. Look for conservators to be back out soon, this time with paintbrushes instead of cleaning brushes.
