Rail On-Time Performance

Definition: Measures how closely service runs to schedule. Departures from origin and arrivals to destination are considered on time if made no longer than 5 minutes after the scheduled times.

Performance (October 2019):

In October, met the Target; the actual being 96.62%. 285 delays were related to rail car failures, 196 delays were passenger related (medical emergencies/door obstructions/police interventions), 92 delays were related to Automated Train Control (ATC) issues and 37 delays were related to equipment and power supply issues.
