IC_West Plaza_Renovation_ Website Update Graphic

Beginning Monday, Nov. 23, 2026, the west plaza at Indian Creek Station will close for the final phase of renovations. Rail and bus service will continue as scheduled.

Temporary pedestrian detours will be in place for station access. Customers should follow posted signs for station access.

  • Station access: The west plaza will be closed throughout construction for safety. Customers who park at Indian Creek must use the east entrance near the bus loop to enter the station.
  • ADA access: ADA parking spaces near the Kiss & Ride area will be temporarily relocated to the east side of the parking lot to provide customers with the shortest accessible path during construction.
  • Bridge access: The pedestrian bridge to Durham Park Road will remain open. The west faregates will only be accessible from the pedestrian bridge. There will be no access to the parking lot from the west faregates.
  • Parking: Portions of the west parking lot may be restricted to help direct customers toward the designated pedestrian detour.

Overview

MARTA renovated Indian Creek Station as a part of its State of Good Repair program. One of the key project features includes a newly opened pedestrian bridge which connects residents on Durham Park Road to the north side of the station. For residents in surrounding neighborhoods, this bridge is transformational. The new bridge significantly reduces travel time, provides a safe, accessible route into the station, and makes using transit more convenient.

The additional upgrades below are designed to make the station cleaner, safer, and more accessible for those who ride every day.

Key Project Features

  • A new pedestrian bridge for access from Durham Park Road
  • New wall paneling, metal doors, and door frames
  • New lighting and illuminated signage at the platform, plaza, and concourse levels
  • New landscaping, trash receptacles, and benches
  • Pressure cleaning throughout the station
  • Repairing and refinishing the existing wood barrel ceiling
