                                  MARTA HOLDS ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY SHOP                              


ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will distribute holiday gifts for over 3,500 children on Wednesday, December 18 beginning at 7 a.m. in the atrium of MARTA headquarters. Through its Charity Club, MARTA employees and ATU Local 732 raise money to provide books, games, toys, clothing, and bicycles to children whose families previously signed up for the giveaway.

“This is a wonderful 36-year tradition at MARTA and one I have enjoyed participating in the last two years,” said General Manager and CEO Jeffrey Parker. “I am proud of the MARTA Charity Club, employees and the union for their leadership in the Toy Shop. We’ve seen the joy these gifts bring to families and their children at this time of year, and we’re glad to make a difference.”
